The Company
The scope of the work undertaken varies in type and size from multimillion euro projects to small and medium sized contracts covering all sectors of the industry. Projects undertaken include the construction of motorways and regional & local roads, tunnel works (Dublin Port Tunnel), coastal defence works, tidal works, hospitals and construction of water attenuation systems. We have also undertaken various types of groundworks including deep large diameter drainage, utility installations, site clearance, commercial/industrial/residential development works, landfill facilities, major earthworks and rock breaking and the processing of subsequent materials for re-use.
We are also involved in recycling works, quarry works, demolition and plant hire. Shannon Valley has a comprehensive and modern fleet of civil engineering plant machinery, equipment and lorries. The fleet covers the full spectrum of civil engineering needs and requirements and provides us with the flexibility to meet the daily demands of individual projects nationwide. Shannon Valley employs high calibre individuals from a broad skills base and selects and assigns individuals with the precise mix of skills and experience demanded by each project thereby earning Shannon Valley a reputation for professional excellence and delivering projects on and ahead of schedule without compromising quality or safety.

Our Structure
The company was founded by Michael English and is currently headed by Michael’s three sons and equal partners: Mick, David and Dermot. With up to 40 projects in operation around Dublin and further afield, Mick and Dermot take responsibility for the sites while David looks after the maintenance of the construction machinery.
The company is based at the Shannon Valley Centre in Donabate, County Dublin, which was built in 2005. The construction included 11 other mixed retail, office & industrial buildings over an area of 20,000m2.
Shannon Valley constructed the buildings from ground to roof level. Our office contains a 4 storey block giving us the capability to house all necessary functions of running the business including, car parks, plant maintenance yard & truck parking area of 4,000m2, administration, meeting rooms, Engineering and Surveying Department, Health & Safety Department, Commercial Department as well as Transport & Parts Department, Quality Assurance & Quality Control Department, Human Resources Department, Legal Department and IT & Cyber Security Department
