A Culture Where Safety Comes First
At Shannon Valley Group, health and safety is not simply a regulatory requirement — it is a core value embedded in everything we do. We believe that every person has the right to return home safely at the end of each working day, and we are committed to fostering a culture where safety is the shared responsibility of every member of our team.
Comprehensive Training Across All Disciplines
Our health and safety training programme covers the full spectrum of requirements encountered across our civil engineering and construction operations, from site inductions and manual handling to plant operation, first aid, and risk assessment. All operatives hold up-to-date training certificates and qualifications, which are regularly reviewed and renewed.
Site-Specific Safety Procedures
Every project undertaken by Shannon Valley Group is supported by site-specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inductions, Plant Certificates, and Operative Training Certificates, all of which form part of the project’s Safety File. This project-by-project approach ensures that every operative on site has the knowledge and documentation required to work safely.
In-House Health & Safety Department
Shannon Valley Group operates a fully accredited in-house health and safety department that oversees training, compliance, and ongoing safety management across all our operations. Our dedicated team continuously updates training content to reflect changes in legislation, emerging risks, and evolving industry best practice.
NSAI Certified Occupational Health & Safety Management
Holding I.S. ISO 45001:2018 certification from the NSAI, Shannon Valley Group demonstrates its commitment to the highest standards of occupational health and safety management. This internationally recognised standard reflects our proactive approach to protecting the wellbeing of our people, our clients, and the communities in which we work.
