Phase 2 Baldonnell Business Park project comprised the development of several industrial warehouse units with associated external infrastructure on land between the Casement Aerodrome and the N7 national road. The site comprised 96 acres of undeveloped greenfield, historically used for agricultural purposes.Shannon Valley was responsible for stripping of 150,000m3 of topsoil, excavation of 150,000m3 of subsoil from a Detention Basin and Swales across the site and for the production, placement and compaction of the stabilised Engineered Fill to bring site to proposed Formation levels. The stabilisation of subsoils was carried out using selected hydraulic binder additives to re-engineer the physical properties of the subsoils.
